Sonya & Dwayne's Kariya Park Engagement Session
As frontline workers throughout the pandemic to say these two have been busy is an understatement!
And to be planning a wedding on top of everything is madness!! These two (so far) are holding out for their original wedding date later this fall and we can’t be more excited to celebrate with them, especially after spending this wonderful evening with them at Kariya Park in Mississauga! This small park, right across from Square One (an easy to find landmark, and fun fact where Stef used to work throughout high school and college!) and is a maybe not so secret alternate spot to High Park for Cherry Blossoms in the spring! We did a lap around the park with Sonya and Dwayne shooting in quaint little spots while navigating around all of the people there- and surprisingly, it was a lot for a random Sunday evening. Dwayne, on top of being a paramedic, was the hero (or should I say extrovert) we needed throughout the shoot asking people to step out of the way or clear the space so we could take a few photos at some prime spots. Dwayne, can you come with us to every shoot please?! Since the park is so small we also took some time to go into a (probably going to be developed some point) open space of some not so great looking in person, grass for a few ‘field’ photos. We also played up all of the overgrown ragweed on the hill by putting it in front of our cameras for a little bokeh ;)
