Sashauna & Jeffrey's Sunny September Elopement in Toronto

FALL CAN BE A FINICKY TIME FOR THE WEATHER BUT WE LUCKED WITH A BEAUTIFUL DAY FOR S&J!

At the time of shooting this Toronto City Hall had a limit of 10 people in chambers during a wedding, with your photographer counting as one of those ten people. Since Sashauna & Jeffrey brought along some of their family members to witness, we didn’t want to take away from their experience of seeing these two get married so we opted to meet up after the ceremony. Before jumping into group photos sand their portraits we staged a little ‘ceremony’ moment on the rooftop terrace just outside of the chambers, just so they could have a few photos together exchanging rings and being ‘at the alter’.

A classic and easily accessible photo location right beside city hall / within walking distance is Osgoode Hall; a beautiful historic building with (at the right time of year) a lush green lawn and tall trees with ample foliage. It makes for a lovely backdrop for group photos (pro tip: it’s spacious enough to fit even the largest groups with people standing side by side, but also has some steps to create layers) and your own portraits.

Sashauna & Jeffrey were absolute naturals in front of the camera; so easy going, so giddy, and most importantly so clearly in love and excited about entering this new chapter in their lives! After shooting around Osgoode for a while we took to walking around the city, stopping in shooting around Front Street- in front of the Berczy Park Dog Fountain and the iconic Godderham Building (AKA the Flat Iron Building), before they stopped in for their celebratory dinner at Terroni.
