Nicole & Jack's Valentine's Wedding at The Doctor's House
And on their 10 year anniversary these two said a long awaited “I Do”
We remember when we first met Nicole & Jack one bitterly cold winter morning at a Starbucks a little outside of the city we were a little under the weather (just regular winter sick, this was wayyyyy before COVID when we were allowed to just sit inside at a public space remember!) and we didn’t feel particularly up to a full day of driving around to meetings, but as soon as they sat down and we got to it we felt so relaxed and everything was so incredibly easy! I know it’s usually the opposite that happens— we’re supposed to put potential clients at ease so they feel comfortable with us— but they were energetic, so clearly in love, and (our favourite personality trait) extremely down to earth! After we talked shopped I can’t remember exactly where the conversation went but we started talking about everything but weddings and photography until someone said “ok we love this but we have to get on with our day”. They booked with us shortly after we couldn’t be more thrilled!
Later that fall we photographed their beautiful sunset engagement session in Whitby (and maybe spoiled El Camino, oops sorry!!) and then a few months later we were here, at their wedding! It’s crazy how quickly time flies!
While we normally don’t wish for a snow storm (especially for driving) we (everyone, not just us!) kind of were hoping that we’d get lots of snow so we take some beautiful wintery photos kind of like Reena & Nishil’s snowstorm engagement session. Unfortunately it snowed the day before and what we were left with was shovelled snow + an extreme cold alert (-40 no thank you) but with so many people around (remember when that was a thing lol) and infectious joy in the air life felt a lot warmer for this little bit of time (don’t ask about how cold the car was when we left later that night though).
**We’re going to share the first bit of photos a little out of order; Jack had our abbbbbbsolute favourite first look reaction and we want to really showcase those photos, not lose them in the grid, so view a few photos of them getting ready + their portraits first and then their first look!

These are our favourite first look photos so we’re going to share them big here for you to really take in…
Their ceremony was held on the property’s chapel…
The light in here has always been so beautiful whether in the middle of the day (pictured here) or later in the evening when it’s a bit more dim and moody! Nicole was absolutely glowing as she walked down the aisle, and to no one’s surprise at this point, so was Jack watching her! Though we didn’t get the snowfall we were hoping for, as we walked out of the chapel the lightest dusting of snow started coming down and it felt like a little congratulations from the universe!
Following the ceremony we headed into the reception space that N&J and their families had spent the morning decorating; true to the season they incorporated a lot of winter elements like cooler tones, pinecones, and even pine leaves as a little gift to everyone! We always love seeing our photos printed so seeing framed photos and a photo book filled with our images was incredibly heartwarming!
