Sunrise in The Village with Bonnie & Melissa

when trying to find a location for your engagement session we always suggest going somewhere meaningful to you

It adds a unique touch to your photos that will make them even more sentimental; for Bonnie & Melissa that location is The Village. Both living and working in the neighbourhood these two are well versed on their favourite spots and were prepared with the locations that they wanted to go to, whether it was some of their favourite murals and graffiti, a nondescript condo courtyard, or even outside of a restaurant that had the most lush ivy to shoot against. All of the places are spots that they enjoy and in some big, or small, way mean something to them, and we’re so thrilled to incorporate that into their engagement photos.

Apart from the sentimentality of being in their own neighbourhood, shooting this early in the morning (7AM on a weekday lol) gave us lots of privacy from commuters and minimal traffic on the roads. To the point where, after we finished shooting and were getting our own coffee we had to remind ourselves that the store was so busy because normal people were just getting up and getting their fuel to go to work haha.

We had so much fun wandering around The Village with these two and learning more about them and their plans for their upcoming wedding, it really was the best start to our day (yes, even with getting up at 5AM).
