Alex & Kim's Casual & Quiet Restaurant Wedding

We love a calm, quiet, and intimate wedding

Just as much as we love a loud, large, and rambunctious wedding (and to be clear, we looove a good party). Both types of weddings bring different -vibes- to the table, but both are equally as wonderful in their own unique ways. In this case, Alex & Kim eloped with their nearest and dearest at a small east end restaurant (Judaline, which sadly is no longer open). Something we really empathize with couples on is not wanting to be the center of attention— anyone else?— but this is so difficult (read: impossible) to do when it’s your wedding day, especially when you consider that you are quite literally the star of the show. A way to mitigate this? Embracing a micro-wedding. Only having your nearest and dearest with you, spending your day truly present with everyone. Not having a rigid and overpacked timeline but allowing the flow of the day to come organically when the moment is right. And that’s exactly what Alex & Kim did!

They separately got ready in the morning, and saw each other for the first time as Kim walked down the aisle. Their ceremony was short and sweet (possibly the shortest and sweetest we’ve ever had, but it was perfect for them), and then they spent the rest of the afternoon having a delicious brunch and exchanging heartwarming speeches. Everything was truly so lovely and so perfect for them, and we were so honoured to have been witness to it!
