Vivian & Steve's Engagement at the Toronto Botanical Gardens

As we drove home after this shoot it started snowing so to say this was the perfect shoot to end fall, is an understatement!

We originally planned to shoot mid-November but V&S wanted to take advantage of the fall colours (and warmer weather) while it was still around so we tried a few times to reschedule but couldn’t make it work. Finally we committed to a Wednesday afternoon they had off and oh man, did it pay off! It was a bit brisk but these two made it look so effortless and easy it made us question if it was really that cold out?

Vivian and Steve chose the Toronto Botanical Gardens to shoot at and it was the perfect backdrop for their session! We did a little loop of the property and 1. it’s a lot larger than it looks from the parking lot! and 2. we really didn’t try too hard at looking for little spaces to shoot in because honestly, it was all really beautiful! We went down into the ravine area to shoot some classic fall forestry photos featuring a super cute blanket set up that V brought along! After a bit of time wandering around here Vivian & Steve did a quick outfit change and we headed over to Glendon York Campus for a backdrop change! Believe it or not but on the short (~7 minutes) drive over the temperature felt like it dropped 5 degrees so while we wanted to walk around campus to shoot for a bit, our plans wrapped up faster than anticipated, but not without banging out a few more formal photos!
