Teresa & Deanna's Intimate Wedding at The Ancaster Mill
It’s hard to describe Teresa & Deanna’s love…
They’re quiet, reserved, and affectionate in their own way and interestingly, it’s how we are with our own partners so I think that’s why they resonate with us so much. They kicked their family out of their room for their first look (something we’d do too haha) and it was incredibly emotional but modest and serene at the same time. Again, hard to describe with words but hey, that’s why we’re photographers right ;) After we shot their engagement session we took some time to do a site visit together at the Ancaster Mill so before their ceremony began we went to all of the spots we had previously walked around to, and shot their wedding portraits around the property! Our favourite part of shooting was spotting their matching converse shoes for #maximumweddingcomfort; they’re such a great reflection of their personalities and something that they can take home and use over and over again after the day is done.

Instead of formal seating at the ceremony, their family and friends simply gathered around them…
And it made the overall ambiance and feeling in the room feel much more intimate but not in a way that felt too stuffed or cramped. The dinner room was set up with simple decor, candles, pops of green foliage, and both T&D’s bouquets is all that was needed to bring the room to life considering it was all enclosed in glass and you had a beautiful view of outside from every angle.
As the ceremony begin, both Teresa & Deanna were brought in by their parents, and slowly but surely everyone became emotional (thank goodness we have a camera to hide behind because we were definitely feeling it too!). Following the ceremony we took a few quick group photos outside and then spent the remainder of the cocktail hour mingling with guests.
