Steph & Andrew's Cherry Blossom Engagement Session

We had tried to shoot once before and it didn’t work out… and I don’t think we’ve been happier about that!

When we first tried to shoot with Steph + Andrew it was the weekend the DVP was closed for spring maintenance so you can only imagine how busy the 401 was (if you're from the GTA you already know). Steph and I were talking in the parking lot for about 15 minutes, when Andrew speaks up from her phone and says I'm so sorry but you both have been talking for a bit now and I literally have not moved an inch. We decided to reschedule and it could not have worked out any better!

While Steph and I were talking I had mentioned that the cherry blossoms were finally out in High Park and that if it works out, we should definitely reschedule our shoot there! A week later, 30 minutes of driving around trying to figure out how to get into the park, and many many crowds later we did just that- we shot these two lovebirds at High Park with the cherry blossoms!

Although we tried to be at the park as early as possible there was just no beating the crowds! Shooting around a lot of other people can often be intimidating, as people tend to stop and stare for a little bit, so we always like to scout shoot locations out beforehand and look for little areas or even a small corner where we can have some privacy.
