Steph's Spring Maternity Session
1 year after photographing Steph & Andrew’s engagement session we got a call…
Steph was expecting a new addition to their growing family and wanted us to capture this milestone for her! At the time she was only a few months pregnant, it was still cold out, but she just wanted to share the news; we decided to touch base again in spring to plan something.
May was our busiest month in a long time, possibly the busiest we've ever had so far, so at the beginning of the month when things were still relatively slow, I didn't know that by the end of the month (when we shot) how busy and crazy things would be. Being with Steph, Andrew, and Josiah felt like a break; something calm, slow and much needed.
We spent some time at their apartment, we talked, we caught up on everything that's been happening and all of the things that were to come- including their new bundle of joy, obviously- and then we took a short walk to their local park for some fresh air before parting ways.
We ended up delivering their photos within a couple of days (because of Steph's impending due date and also because of the sheer amount of work that we had coming up and not wanting to fall behind) and Steph sent the sweetest message back saying-
These photos are absolutely amazing! You always add that special touch to each photo! Also, you came in the nick of time! Dr wants me to deliver baby tomorrow!
